Kathy Pollard - Group Leader and Spokesperson for Health (Belstead Brook Division)
Kathy has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a MSc in Work design and Ergonomics. She worked for BT at their Research and Development Labs in Martlesham nr. Ipswich, latterly in internet design.
A Councillor since 1987 and a County Councillor since 1993 with a wide range of experience across the council. Posts have included Chair of Council, Vice Chair of Transport and Vice Chair of Social Services.
Kathy is currently Group Leader and a member of the Health Scrutiny Committee and the Staff Partnership Board.

Andrew Cann - Spokesperson for Resources and Finance (St Margaret's and Westgate Division)
Andrew Cann joined the Liberal Democrats in September 2004. He won his first election in May 2005 becoming County Councillor for St Margaret's and Westgate.
Born and brought up in Ipswich, Andrew cares passionately about the town and especially its cultural life. He was instrumental in saving the Corn Exchange from sale by the former Labour Administration. Andrew's father will be well known to many of you. Jamie Cann was MP for Ipswich from 1992 to 2001.

John Field - Spokesperson for Environment and Waste (Gipping Valley Division)
John worked in project and team management in the telecommunications industry for many years in Thorn EMI and BT. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
Since 2001 John has been County Councillor representing Gipping Valley: Akenham, Barham, Gt. & Lt. Blakenham, Bramford, Claydon, Flowton, Hemingstone and Whitton Rural.
In May 2007 John was re-elected Mid Suffolk District Councillor for Bramford and Blakenham Ward.

David Grutchfield (Hadleigh Division)
David Grutchfield has represented Hadleigh since 1986, first at Town, then District and County level.
David has been a dedicated campaigner for Hadleigh residents on a whole range of issues, including getting more police on the streets, keeping free parking, replacing the swimming pool, and getting more community facilities

Inga Lockington - Spokesperson for Adult and Community Care (St Margaret's and Westgate Division)
Inga Lockington was first elected to the Borough Council in 1999 and to Suffolk County Council in 2001. She is now the Spokesperson for Adult and Community Care and sits on the Scrutiny for Adult Care as well as Roads and Transport.

Dave Wood - Deputy Group Leader and Spokesperson for Public Protection (Peninsula Division)
Dave Wood has been County Councillor for the Peninsula since 1999. As Vice-Chair of Suffolk Police Authority, he fought against the Home-Office proposed merger of Suffolk Police with Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

Penny Otton - Spokesperson for Children and Young Persons (Thedwastre South)
Penny Otton has been the District Councillor for the Rattlesden Ward for the last 16 years.
Penny has been a Parish Councillor, playgroup leader and member of the village hall committee. She was instrumental in getting the District Council to lease part of the sheltered housing building to the community shop and post office in Rattlesden and does all she can to support them in their activities.
She was elected to Suffolk County Council in August 2007 and is currently sitting on the county's Service Transformation and Localities Scrutiny Committee.

Caroline Page - Spokesperson for Roads and Transport (Woodbridge)
Caroline has an Oxford degree in English language and literature, subsequent qualifications in print and design and a career in publishing, writing and editing. She is the most recent Liberal Democrat county councillor, having represented Woodbridge since late 2008. An ardent walker and cyclist herself, Caroline is particularly interested in issues of transport, highways and footpaths.
