Councillor warns of long delays on A12 after Copdock Mill changes

Councillor Kathy Pollard has warned that there will be long tailbacks on the Northbound A12 if the Highways Agency's current proposals for the Copdock Mill roundabout go ahead. Mrs Pollard, who is the Lib Dem councillor for the area, has called on the Highways Agency to reconsider this part of the proposed improvement scheme.

The Liberal Democrats are today cautiously optimistic at the news that the Highways agency are conducting a study into possible safety improvements on the A12 between Stratford St. Mary and East Bergholt.

A leading Liberal Democrat and veteran road safety campaigner has called on the Highways Agency to declare if it has any plans to reduce accidents on the A14 trunk road following another fatal accident on the road on Easter Monday.

Liberal Democrats have called for a halt to the programme of Middle School closures. Speaking at a meeting of the County Council this week Lib Dem group leader Kathy Pollard said that the risks of proceeding were now too great to continue.
